World Autism Day

Today marks World Autism Day and April is Autism Awareness Month. About half of the children at Joshua Early Childhood Center have an autism diagnosis. We celebrate and value these individuals and their families each and every day!

Please take a minute to listen to Wendy Miller, a JECC mother, speak about her son and how autism has impacted their family.

"...I would like to close by saying that autism is not easy. Johnny has severe autism, and Nate and I plan on taking care of him for the rest of our lives. Our wish, just like any parent, is that Johnny can have the best quality of life possible. He deserves to learn and grow as an individual, discover new interests, and enjoy his life..."

And today, JECC wore blue in honor of these individuals with autism and their families.
