Art Enrichment
Joshua Early Childhood Center has begun an art enrichment program this year.
Our art curriculum is a developmental-based program for children between the ages of 2.5 – 5 years old. Our Method? Process Art.
Process Art is focused on the process, not the product. There are no predetermined products. Instead, teachers provide the guidance, materials, and tools to be creative - the objective is to learn, not teach. Our kiddos learn in, through, and about art by experiencing it - "to become an artist by being one.”
Students will learn problem solving skills, come up with their own answers, discover the cause and effect of their actions, and gain confidence in their own choices. These experiences will promote their cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development with fundamental skills that will forever benefit them. With our art enrichment program, we encourage our kids to think like artists, use their imaginations, and make something new.

Music Enrichment
Weekly, small group music therapy sessions are led by a board-certified music therapist as one of the many specialized services we are proud to offer here at JECC.
The combination of music’s highly motivational and structured nature makes it a wonderful tool to use to work on such goals as language development, social skills, self regulation, and pre academic concepts. Miss Bekah tailors the songs and activities in each classroom to meet the needs and musical preferences of each student, and embeds opportunities to practice skills such as turn-taking, direction following, exploring different instruments and even learning to read music!
