Joshua Early Childhood Center was recently awarded a grant from Early Childhood Health Outdoors (ECHO) to improve our outdoor learning space. JECC is among the first group of preschool programs in Colorado to be an Echo Seed Grant Site. Over 50 different early childhood centers around Colorado applied and only 25 were selected. We are very proud and appreciative to have been chosen! Today, a team from JECC attended a workshop with ECHO to plan and come up with a beautiful and
Our friends over at Curly Clues Club have a great children's book recommendation this week that lines up perfectly with JECC's mission and values! "Good People Everywhere" by Lynea Gillen helps give a starting point to talk with your child about differences among people. It inspires "young children to grow into grateful, caring, and giving" individuals." Check out Curly Clues Club blog to read their recommendation of the book. We will definitley be picking up a copy for here!
Today we are thankful for the people that made Joshua Early Childhood Center a possibility. While there is a whole community that has contributed to our growth and success over the years, our founders are the people who turned their dream of this school into a reality. In 2002, six educators were teaching in a public school district when their beloved student, Joshua, unexpectedly passed away. After years of frustration over the constraints of traditional education, these si

All of our staff are feeling refreshed, energetic and are ready for another incredible year helping young children learn and grow! In addition to our early intervention program, Joshua Academy kicked off their five-week summer camp program this week with Science Camp! The kids are bus

As a thank you to the staff, the mother of this child wrote a beautiful poem. I have read it about thirty times since she gifted it to us and I think it captures our students and staff very well. "The Differ

JECC is expanding from our current 2-classroom location, which has been housed inside of The Joshua School, into a beautiful, new 7-classroom facility. This takes a lot of work! We hope to have our opening day April 11, 2016! With this great expansion comes an even greater need... and that's where you can help! What we need to make this happen! We will need to furnish all 7 rooms with desks, shelves, carpe

It all started in 2002, when six educators were teaching in a public school district when their beloved student, Joshua, unexpectedly passed away. After years of frustration over the constraints of traditional education, these six teachers vowed to use this tragedy for good and founded The Joshua School. The vision was simple….if a child had one day left on this earth it had t
